My Grandma

My grandma is awesome.I spent alot of time with her and I miss her.Today I found out she had a stroke and heart attack and I am lost.I am 6000 miles away and a mess.Please pray for her or positive thoughts.

The Family Reunion

We went to Hubby's family reunion yesterday.It is ok but not that much fun since I dont speak danish.The younger group does and I did talk to a few people.It was noisy and stressfull and I was glad to leave.Makayla made a little friend that is her same age and they had a blast....round and round the hall they went and went.It was funny watching them.Here they are

What a week

I am tired of dr's and little beeping machines and medical leads stuck to me which by the way I am allergic to.I got the 7 day EKG machine tuesday and tuesday night Makayla unhooked it..it beeped all night long.
Wednesday my MIL was here and we were shopping for the new house(see other post)
Thursday I go back to the cardio to get the machine hooked up again and she can see the huge blisters from the other leads so she moves them.Great now 4 blisters and it also hurts when she snaps it on ouch ouch ouch.
So then we read the readings it got the other day 49bpm(beats per minute) to 160!!!! are you kidding me.No wonder it feels so freaky.I just want to get better and not feel so crappy.I wonder how many days this week will be spent at drs.I know of 2 allready.

OMG its wednsday allready

It has been a busy week again so far.Monday we found out they accepted the offer on the house woohooo.We take it over October the 1st.

It also seems the cardiologist for got to call me and they franticaly called me in tuesday.I have to wear a 7 day monitor.Well it lasted a few hours until Makayla unplugged it on accident and I have a reaction to the tape yet again.Today was fun.My mother in law and Soren(DH) and I went shopping for new kitchen stuff since we are redoing it all.We found and got this sweet stove..its huge.Here is a pic.I also found a dishwasher for 50% off.Now to find a fridge and design the cabinets :) fun stuff ahead..ohhh also found a cla leg tub to replace the non working jacuzzi tub

This week I picked up my new Iphone 3Gs and since I was bored while waiting for Mack to get out of class I used the video to get some pics for Mimi and Poppi(in texas)

A feel of autum in the air

We had our first front this week and while some days its 70f you can feel the crisp air blowing.The wind always blows here on the water and it is never hot like it was in Texas where I am from but I love it.I cannot wait for the changing leaves and all the colors.Here is a pic from last year

Then Mack worked on this little project every monday from may until the end of june (when school ended) and brought it home today.I am so proud of her.She did a great job.

The week of firsts

It has been an emotional week of firsts around the Straarup household.I will start with Deanna...she started danish highschool monday....it is a year later than american high school so she is almost 17.She will be there 3 years.Next up is Miss Mack.She started Danish Kindger.They will test her these first weeks and see if she needs to be moved up.It is not that she is some super child but she is bilingual and can speak and write in 2 languages and speak some german as well.Macks other first was riding lessons.We were supposed to start her 3 years ago and we just got to it.She is loving both.Now for the biggest first.Miss Makayla or Stinky as she gets called started daycare.I have never ever taken my babies to daycare this early.Mack was started at 2.6 and that was killer.I like where she goes and the couple that takes care of her are awesome but man was it hard.The first day she cried so hard and then when we picked her up she would not let me go.Each day got better and she fussed less each day.She only went a few hours a day.She really loves Kim and Kate and the other babies....I cried and cried leaving my last baby with someone else.I hope it gets better this week.

About that house

they called and went down so looks like we are still getting the house woohoo)The update is in parenthesis Des)

So if you follow me on FB or Twitter you know we found a house.It was a perfect for us house.4 bedrooms all on one floor etc.So we made an offer and recieved a letter from an attorney(this is part of an estate)so we all(us and the attorney) assumed they accepted the offer.2weeks later we were called by the real estate agent and he informed us that the offer was not accepted.So we get another letter saying they are meeting with their attorney this week.Yesterday we got a call with a counter offer.These people wont budge even though their attorney advised them to accept it.Let me explain how the system works here with estates.If a house is in an estate the heirs have one year to sell it.If it doesnt sell they then have to purchase it so the estate can be closed.This house has been on the market since the start of feb and no one has even looked at it.....oh well off to find another not so perfect house

Getting sick

Well school is going well and Mack is really enjoying making new friends and playing with old ones.Deanna likes school so far and I hope she is making some new friends.Now that school has started so have the germs.I was at the school 2 days and yesterday I started feeling bad.Today is much worse.achooooo excuse me while I sneeze.I think Makayla is getting the cold to...great.anyway.I am enjoying my quiet time and getting a few things done and watching tv with out interuptions.

First day of school

Yesterday was the first day of school for the girls,Makayla as well.Mack started kinder and is/was very excited about it.Makayla finally went to daycare yesterday to.She was supposed to start Aug 1st but I was having problems leaving her.I miss her and hate leaving her.It went well and she only fussed a little they said until it was nap time.We picked her up and brought her home,3 hours was long enough.Deanna started highschool and seems to like it but its only the second day.Here are some pics from Macks first day.

Well it has been an interesting week to say the least.I most clearly did not neglect my house again last week.I also did not whine about cooking(since it is my very favorite thing to do) until my DH made me pancakes.I then did not get out the camera and take pictures since the pancakes had holes in them because that would not be very nice.They were yummy though.See here they are --->>>

I also had a 24 hour EKG friday and I did NOT remove it after 22 hours after all that would be wrong and lastly I did not forget to push the button on said machine when I was doing something to mark an excellerated heart beat...I can forsee me doing this test over again and real soon.What have you Not done this week?

Today

I picked up my EKG reader and learned what do do with it this morning.
When we got there Mack and Makayla made the rounds saying Hi to everyone and then we got called back and they took my blood pressure and pulse.BP was 104/60 and pulse was 49.She said dont take the Beta Blockers anymore since it is so low.I informed her that I had not taken any this am.So no meds until after monday when they will do another EKG in the hospital.
This afternoon we went and toured some shipsHere is a link to one.We are going back tommorow and will get some pics.I have some from today and will add them later

The last few days.

Have been crazy.We went to Legoland wednesday and had a great time.While we were there I got a call about some new products and going to CIFF(Copenhagen International Fashion Fair) so we dropped Mack at my Mil and came home to get ready.We wanted to leave early but of course we were running late.After a 3 hour drive we arrived.There were tons and tons of new fashions for spring..some cute and some not so cute.We met some great vendors and had a great time chatting.We had a long day and long drive home since we picked up Mack on the way home.I dont have any pics since they are not allowed unless by the press.I did however find a ad for Spacebabies bedblocks that I sell in my store with my name on it in the Vøres Barn Magazine Here is a link to them.

Today

it was finally nice out so we headed out for some walking on the shopping street.New Iphone will be in soon,got some school stuff(school starts monday) and came home.It seems summer has come back and tomorrow will be 77f.We are off to Legoland tomorrow so stayed tuned for pics.The new meds are doing ok and they will decide friday if I need Klexana again.

More meds

It was a nice weekend hanging out with the family.Today however I had to go the the hospital.They have upped my beta blockers until friday when I get the 24 hour EKG.Here are some pics.Makayla always smiling and the other is of Deanna and Mack.Mack woke at 5 am and went to sleep with Deanna

Hubby Shopped

I have been talking about eating more healthy like.More fruits,veggies etc.My iron is dangerously low so more protien for me :)I said I wanted to try certain recipes again and here is what he came home with

Stellan's Name Pictures

We wanted to add to Stellan's name gallery so Miss Makayla sported her really neat orange diaper(orange is my fav color.My wedding dress was orange)but wanted nothing to do with holding the paper so its in her lap.
Mackenzie colored a really pretty picture and would like to mail it to MckMamma(must see if we can get it to her someway)
Hubby love to and does make electronic modules so he made a name for Stellan out of silver wire and his soldering gun.(Maybe MckMamma would like this as well)
